Whether it's worth investing in CS2 skins depends largely on the game's popularity. First, I should ask myself — do I expect CS2 to become even more popular? Can this eight-year-old FPS (First-Person Shooter) game continue to shine in its glory years?
It seems quite possible, since Valve supports the game with frequent updates and new Operations. However, Counter Strike is getting older and older, and other titles like Valorant are proving to be strong competitors to it.

There are stories of people getting significantly rich from investing in CS2 skins, and it's clear that it's possible.
However, I'm unsure if this is the right moment or if the best time to shop for skins on the Steam Community Market has already passed.
If you have a few dollars in your Steam account that you don't have anything else to spend on, investing it in some of the most expensive CS skins or stuff like the most expensive CS stickers might be worth considering. Nonetheless, the decision on whether to invest or not is yours, and you should do so at your own risk.
What CS2 skins should you invest in exactly?
If you're still interested in investing in CS2 skins, let me guide you on which investments could potentially bring the most profit. I honestly believe that it's wise to focus on skins that are not so widely available anymore.
eSports 2013 Case

CSGO Weapon Case

CSGO weapon case is also an interesting case to pick up, especially since there are only 392 units available, and it costs $60. Again, this one is a classic — it contains one of the best AWP skins ever, the Lightning Strike. MP7 Skulls is also a pretty interesting skin to pick up there, one of the best cheap CS2 skins, for sure.
Operation Bravo Case

Operation Bravo Case might be a controversial one, but you can already see that the quantity is going down... and so the price might go up, at least that's what the experts say. The key is only $2.34, which is almost free, and you can easily find the case below $50 as of 2024. As for skins, it contains AK-47 Fire Serpent, which is a classic, as well as some of the best Gut Knife skins.

Souvenirs and Rare Special Items
Besides skins from older cases, you might want to consider investing in tournament souvenirs, especially from maps that are no longer in the Active Duty Map Pool.

Investments in Rare Special Items, on the other hand, seem to be quite risky, as their prices fluctuate constantly. But here again — it seems to make sense to invest in the best Karambit skins with StatTrak, such as the Karambit Fade ($1,700) or iconic weapon skins like M4A4 Howl (up to $6,500).
Stickers and Capsules
We could also watch a steady increase in pretty much all the stickers’ prices over the last two years.

Experts offer a simple way to invest — purchase any stickers/caps from older majors (like ESL Cologne or Dreamhack Winter) and just keep an eye on trends.
Access Passes
Surprisingly, a growing number of collectors are interested in coins of specific Operations on the Community Steam Market. For example, Operation Vanguard Access Pass price has increased from $5 to about $1000 in just one year.

So, if you can buy any Operation Access Pass for less than $25 — why not? There are good reasons to believe that such investments can be highly profitable.
As you can see, there can be many ways to invest in CS2. If you have some money in your Steam account and don't know what to do with it, buying some old in-game cosmetics can be an excellent idea. But again, don’t forget that every investment comes with a risk!
